The second ICC City Lab was successfully completed
The second ICC City Lab was successfully completed online from Tuesday 16 to Friday 19 February with the participation of over 300 city representatives from all over Europe under the European Commission program.
The Municipality of Central Corfu and the Diapontia Islands was represented by the deputy mayor of European Programs, Development and Digital Governance, Panagiota Tzanne (project manager), and the scientific Advisor Mr. Victor Dimoulis (assistant project manager) who presented in two closed meetings the successful actions that have implemented until today in the municipality within the framework of the ICC program while were also discussed the future steps that should be carried out mainly in the axis “Waste Management and Circular Economy”.
These meetings were carried out with the cities of Vari-Voula-Vouliagmeni (Greece), Paleo Faliro-Alimos (Greece), Coastal Towns Association (Italy), Byalistok (Poland), Metropole Rouen Normandie (France), Molina de Segura (Spain) but also with representatives of the EU and the ICC program, while throughout the 2nd ICC City Lab, several useful informative seminars on the “Green Agreement” and the smooth digital transition of cities took place.
The next meeting with the European cities that participate in the 100 Intelligent Cities Challenge (3rd ICC City Lab) will take place on 18-21 May 2021.
We also announce that the Municipality of Central Corfu and the Diapontia Islands own a page on the well-known social networking site Facebook, a page specifically dedicated to the participation, the projects, and then general progress of the municipality within the program 100 Intelligent Cities Challenge and invites the citizens who wish to subscribe to it, to search for it under the name Intelligent Cities Challenge-City of Corfu.
